Carlist Wars
28mm Range sculpted by Barry
Carter. They have great animation and character. These will
fit comfortably with the Perry Miniatures range. This range
was formerly produced by Freikorps/LKM.
Carlist Wars 1 has the main
protagonists, Carlist Wars 2 has the British Legion and French
Foreign Legion.
Please note the British Legion
figures make suitable opponents for the Xhosa warriors on the
Colonial page.
Marlborough's War
28mm Range sculpted by Barry
Carter. These are very compatible in size and stature to Front
Rank. Designed to be painted as any of the main combatants
during the War of Spanish Succession. Additions for more
specific uniform types are in early stages. This range was
formerly produced by Freikorps/LKM.
Colonial
Generic Arabs are our newest
addition to Blaze Away. These are designed by Ian Mountain and
are suitable for many conflicts. A truly wonderful selection
that we will be expanding on.
Mahdists, Xhosa
(Cape Wars) and Jungle
Africans are 28mm Figures designed by Greg Blake (of Cannon
Fodder Mins). Each pack includes many poses and
are very animated. Also includes an enslaved gun crew set.
Sometimes you just need lots of the buggers so this
is a good option to build your army with dynamic, easy to
paint figures.
WW1
The Stormtroopers are 28mm Figures
designed by Greg Blake (of Cannon Fodder Mins). These have
been floating around for a while and will now get an
opportunity for worldwide release.
The biggest offering in this
section are the Australian Light Horse figures. Once produced
by Dominion Miniatures. Compatible with Brigade, Renegade and
Copplestone ranges. By bringing back this range you can buy
Light Horse Figures that actually look like Light Horse
figures. Sorry to say, but if they don't have bandoliers,
leggings and emu plumes, they aren't the real thing. This
selection also includes the Light Horse in steel helmets to
represent the 13th regiment that took part in the decisive
last European campaigns of 1917-18.
WWII
28mm Australians designed by Bill
Tyson. Will be compatible with most other modern manufacturers
in this scale.
28mm Japanese sculpted by Ian
Mountain to fit with the 28mm Australians. If you have had
enough of hulking 6'2" Japanese figures, try these. These guys
physically resemble Imperial Japanese troops of WWII, not just
gorillas in Japanese uniform. Will be compatible with most other
manufacturers in this scale.
Ancients
28mm Gallic/Celtic Warriors
sculpted by Ian Mountain. Done wonderful justice to our
wistful ideas. Will be compatible with most other major
manufacturers in this scale. If these get a bit of support,
expect to see more releases in the future.
28mm Goths are compatible with
most other 28mm ranges (not true 25mm). Very good army
builders.
Ship Crews
28mm figures created "in house"
with heads specially sculpted by Simon Fraser.
Sometimes, we just want
non-'fighty' figures to adorn our prized
ships. These were created for
our own use but we thought we might as well make them
available to anyone else who is interested.
Will do well
with Old Glory and Wargames Foundry size figures.
